Hi, I am Kristen Coleman.

I am photographer from Houston who relocated to Germany. I have always had a love of all things creative and was blessed enough to follow that journey here where it grows everyday.

I grew up in western and central New York where I followed my passions for marketing and event planning. Eventually those brought me to Houston and showed me that where my true passion lies is in the creativity of capturing and sharing joy with others. Through life's twists and turns my family ended up in Landstuhl, Germany. We are always up for adventure, so this was a welcome surprise.

What started out as a few favors for friends and family turned into a reason to go back to school for a Fine Arts degree in photography, passion for teaching photography and painting to others, and foundations for my own photography business.

Over the years I have fallen more and more with what I do everyday and am so happy to have the ability to create and share with my wonderful clients. Whether it be capturing special moments, family gatherings, personal branding, events, and more, it is my absolute pleasure to share this journey with you and create something special together.

OK, so where does the '+ Art' come from?


If you heard of me in Houston or seen the small detail in my logo, you know that I had 'Photo + Art' attached to everything Honey & Hive. When I jumped on board with creating Honey & Hive I took a lot of time considering how to describe what I do. Photography in itself is an art, but I love all things creative beyond the picture. While H & H's main push is portrait photography work, I also incorporate whatever I can craft. Whether it be commissioned paintings from acrylics, inks, to watercolor, or embroidery works and crafted works, I love creating handcrafted one of a kind pieces for my clients. Throughout my career I have loved sharing knowledge with others. Getting to combine this love with my passion for photography has brought so much joy to my work. I've worked with several art galleries and schools to bring photography programs to kids and adults of all ages and abilities.
